ALL ABOUT JOE DENNY

Joe Denny, the youngest of seven, was born and raised in Sag Harbor, New York where he currently resides and frequently skateboards.  While going to public school he always knew that something wasn't quite right with the whole structure and organization of the whole thing.  One major flaw that he noticed and experienced was that a hand full of kids with temporary special needs are neglected their right to use their brains to it's fullest potential and are held back so as to fill a need for remedial jobs.

Much of Americanjism is a reflection of his experiences as a neglected student.  Drawing was the only real way that he was able to express himself, yet no teacher went out of their way to help him be able to express himself as an ordinary person and not some derelict skater who draws sick, perverted comics to inspire a tearing down and rebuilding of the whole system.

We must tear down the tower of darkness and rebuild brick by brick our tower of light.  These days, when kids aren't able to keep up, the teachers, parents and faculty, fools they are, put the poor little helpless fuckers on drugs, wishing that their kids problems will be solved so they won't have to deal with it themselves, as good parents and teachers do.

Americanjism proudly condemns the whole system to hell, saying FUCK YOU very loud to all who live in fear of changing our lives for the better and not doing what is best for one and all when it is time to do so.  Of course, I could go on about all the things in society that Joe hates, such as circumcision, abortion, capital punishment or tattoo's, but that could take an eternity, you'll just have to read his comics to get his take on life and why we're here to live and work together in peace, happiness and spiritual fulfillment.

He considers his greatest work of art to be an ollie over a big grass island in marine park Sag Harbor, later to be renamed the J.D. Gap.  To this day, nobody else has been able to ollie that mother.  Now at the age of 31, he's beginning to feel the effects of 18 years of hippers, dislocated shoulders, plus various other injuries all resulting from spending over half his life on a skateboard.

On a positive note,he's left with more time to draw comics the way they ought to be done, the Joe Denny way, and that's a nice way to do things.  The three novels which he has self published have gone on to received national and international distribution.  Currently, he has a new book in the works which will end the Americanjism series.  An average good day for Joe consists of walking in the woods, burning a fat one, drawing, spending time with his family and being with his girlfriend.
